To help us organize this year we now have access to the Apple Design UK award winning app Team Stuff on your mobile android or apple devices. All game information, practice information is managed through this simple mobile app.

Coming to practise or buggers, team stuff will let everyone else know who’s coming.
Want to update the schedule, locate the field for a game, team stuff will know.
Need to sort out who’s in charge of running a practise, team stuff can do that.

2015 Rugby Schedule – Unconfirmed

Please find below the 2015 proposed Kootenay Rugby Union Schedule. As per
past practice, Maggot Fest has been left open for the EVRFC should they
choose to attend that event this year. The first weekend in May and last
weekend in June are still available should adjustments be required. As well,
I have tried to spread the schedule fairly over the season so travel is not
difficult for any club and each club has a break, but only for one week in
the schedule.

2015 Proposed KRU Schedule

May 9 Nelson RFC at RMRRFC
May 16 Elk Valley RFC @ Nelson RFC
May 23 RMRRFC @ Elk Valley RFC
May 30 RMRRFC @ Nelson RFC
June 6 Nelson RFC @ Elk Valley RFC
June 13 Elk Valley @ RMRRFC
June 20 KRU Final First Plays Second @ First Place Team’s Pitch

Dialogue for a KRU Invitational Tournament seeking clubs from other unions
and all KRU sides participating following the season would be useful. Modest
entry fee to the union, beer sales to the host team. Once again KRU rep
opportunities may exist should any club pursue to host such an event.
This is a proposed schedule, any adjustments require all teams approval.

A KRU Annual General Meeting should be conducted via conference call prior
to the start of the season to meet the requirements of the Societies Act.
This is my final executive actions, good luck to all, I will see everyone on
the touch lines during Rogues home games. Thank-you for the opportunity to
serve on the KRU executive over the past 6 years.

Grizzlies Off-Season Conditioning Program

Hey guys. We all agree that we need to do more to bring up our game. I’m starting an 12 week off-season conditioning program that is open to anyone and everyone. Please get back to me if you’re interested in joining at the Rec Centre. The program is taken from the South African Rugby Conditioning manual and includes a very well rounded amount of training circuits that include not only gym based exercises but also no gym alternatives.

The schedule will be:

Monday Morning for 1 hour
Tuesday Evening for 1 hour
Wednesday Morning for 1 hour
Thursday Morning for 1 Hour
Friday Afternoon for 1 Hour
Saturday Morning for 1 Hour

If you’re any active member of our team this is highly recommended winter work, please contact Keith Page @ to express your interest. I’ve also attached the program for those who want to follow along at home.

Year End Celebration is Tonight!!!

We’ve been planning this party for a little over a month and the night has finally arrived. We’ve got beer on ice, we’ve got wine in the fridge. The dinners are cooking the tables are set and in a few short hours there’s going to be a lot of drinking and dancing. There are still some tickets left at the door so if you haven’t gotten yours yet stop by the door and join your teammates for one hell of a year end.

LVR Practise Cancelled Tonight Due to Wet Weather

Rugby Practice is cancelled tonight, the LVR field is too wet.

I think we can probably come up with some alternatives for situations like this. Does anyone have suggestions as to what we can do to accommodate the weather and our need to maintain a predictable schedule of practice?

SD#8? Game of Buggers? Post back!
